Welcome to the Year 4 Class Page.

For your information:

P.E. days - Wednesday and Friday

Please ensure children have their full P.E kits and trainers in school on these days. If children are unable to take part in P.E lessons please let Mrs Belger know.

Swimming 

In the first half of summer term year 4 will attend weekly swimming lessons provided by the West Lancashire School Sport Partnership.

Forest School

Every Friday.

Music

Your child will learn how to play the keyboard.

Library

Each week, children are given an opportunity to choose or change a book from the school library.

Homework

English and Maths homework will be set each week. This will be given out on a Monday to be returned by the following Friday.

Spellings will be set on a Monday and tested the following Friday.

Each week, children are expected to learn and practise their multiplication tables.

All children are expected to read each night. All this should be recorded in each child’s Reading Record. . Please could a parent sign the Reading Record.

Multiplication Tables Check

At the beginning of June, all Year 4 pupils will sit a statutory Multiplication Tables Check. All Year 4 children will practise times tables up to 12 x 12. Please support them to do this at home too.
