Mrs Belger (Teacher) Mrs Stingman (Teaching Assistant)
Welcome to the Year 4 Class Page.
As we go through the year you will be learning all about the Tudors, Henry the V111 and his six wives. We will be visiting Rufford Old Hall to bring the history of this time to life!
We’re going to become apprentice electricians before we explore the world of the ancient Egyptians and how important the River Nile was to their daily lives. In geography lessons we’ll learn how rivers are formed and how the water cycle contributes to this. If all goes well, we’ll go on a field trip to Cuerden Valley Park to undertake some river studies.
In the summer term we’ll be learning about the digestive system, what foods are good or bad for our teeth and how we can help the environment being careful with our rubbish!
Along the way, we’ll be playing lots of games to help us learn, lots of art and DT to improve our skills and lots of PE to keep us fit. If you want to know more about what we will learn in detail, take a look at the Year 4 curriculum document on this class page and then the subject pages too.
If you have any questions, mums or dads can always talk to us when they drop you off or pick you up, but they can also message us through the ‘Seesaw’ app, where we will be sharing all the exciting and wonderful things you do in school.
