How to apply for a school place
If you are applying for a school place for your child who is due to start in Reception you are required to apply online using the Lancashire County Council website.
The deadline for applications for a primary school place in September 2025 is 15th January 2025.
In Year Admissions
The school's in year admissions will be administered by the governing body of the school.
If you are new to the area, or want to request a transfer to St Johns, you may contact us directly to find out if a place is available for your child.
If we do not have any places available, you can request that your child is put on the waiting list.
The start date for children moving during the school year will be agreed with parents. Children will continue to attend their existing school until that date.
Appeals (In Year Admissions)
If an in year admissions application is rejected, parents may appeal this decision.
When a decision is given, a copy of the appeals form will be given to parents (along with information about how they can make an appeal).
